Site maintenance services:

I will provide site maintenance services for my own sites at $25.00 per hour.

I can provide site maintenance for sites created by other companies within certian boundaries at a rate of $35.00 per hour. Contact me to discuss your needs.

 

Custom site solutions :

If you've checked out the Web Site packages, and they can't meet your needs, then a custom solution is right for you. I offer two basic rates for custom sites.

Make sure you read each option carefully and decide which is the best option for you.

Custom Promotional Sites

Informational or promotional sites are the easiest and least costly way to promote your local establishment online, providing an adequate web presence for most businesses and institutional needs. This, for example, is a basic promotional site.

I charge a basic fee of 35.00 per hour to create a basic promotional or informational site.

I can incorporate some flash and dynamic elements at no additional charge, but these features, understandably, are more time consuming.

Custom Interactive Sites

Maybe your thinking of an all flash site with every aspect of the interface animated. Pehaps your web site needs to include multiple CGI forms or php, the ability to allow user input, provide searchable content, or display custom multimedia.

I charge a basic fee of $50.00 per hour for custom interactive sites. Such a site requires considerably more time to create and quite a bit more hand-coding. Also, I specialize in web design and am not a web developer. Most of my experience with data and server technologies relates to e-learning and gnu applications. If you need a web developer, I have several that I can recommend.

 
 

FAQ:

1. How do I get started?

Once you have established what your primary objectives are for having a site, begin to gather the materials (art, resumes, promotional documents, etc.) that will make up the content for the various pages on your site. Your web site is a reflection of you and your business so take your time to think about what it is you would like to express on each page.


2. Once I gather the info how do I get it to you?

You can send your photographs, slides, or digital media via US Post, or as jpeg/gif image attachments through e-mail. All the materials that are sent to us will be returned at the end of the project.


3. How long does it take to get a new web site online?

Typically, you can expect a 5 to 10 page site to take only a couple of weeks to get online. (That is, once you send the materials and we set up your host and domain name!).  Ultimately, This depends on how extensive your web site is, and also on how quickly you can get the necessary content materials to us. The quicker we receive your information, the quicker we can begin the design process. 


4. Once my web site is completed and uploaded to the WWW, how do people find it?

One of the most important steps you can do on your end is to thoroughly integrate your web address into everything! That means making it as prominent as your telephone number - on your letterhead, business cards, brochures, advertisements, press releases, newsletters, etc...Everywhere!

Walters Web Design will register your site with the major search engines at no extra charge.

Also, you can make arrangements for "reciprocal linkage." This means your web address (URL) is made available on someone else's site, and their URL is listed on your site, so you each can benefit from the combined group of visitors. The more reciprocal links, the greater the opportunity for new visitors.  For example, Walters Web Design will place a link on your site and you will have one on the Walters Web Design site.



5. What happens if I occasionally need to make content changes?

We will be happy to make the changes for you on an "as needed" basis for an hourly charge.

Also, you can make those changes yourself if you have the necessary equipment and expertise.  As a fully trained and certified adult educator, I can provide the training and consultation you need to maintain your own site, again for an hourly wage.
